Chili made a new friend during our trip to Fayetteville ~ Ben's dog Dirk! They were so funny playing together. Chili made friends and travelled well, seems to adapt easily!

The inspiration of blogs

We had a lot of fun making and painting these simple dough ornaments yesterday. Found on this blog http://cobblestonefarms.blogspot.com/ we didn't exactly make them into the cute ornaments the way she did. I LOVE the candy corn, think I'm going to fill my real bowl of candy corn with these instead! Then I made the Pumpkin spice granola from Annie's Eats, it was so yummy!

The water is getting a chill on now, I couldn't get in! Ana & Gray jumped right in, lucky for me I brought a magazine and sat down to relax and enjoy a late Friday afternoon with practice cancelled.

Countdown!

Only 2 weeks until our trip to NWA! Looking forward to the magical FALL weather and seeing old friends! Nothing like waiting until the last minute to get ready for a reunion, maybe I should have planned this out and lost weight or bought a fabulous new outfit. oh well, I'll try to work on it.

MEET CHILI POP

Ana has been begging, pleading her case and saving her money........and tonight her dream came true! Her Daddy brought home a surprise! The new addition to our family ~ Chili Pop. We have some really EXCITED kids right now and one scared little pup. I think he is going to like them, he really is cute!

So Gray is into cutting at school and I guess they are given magazines to cut pictures out of and he came home to put together this collage of all of his proudly displayed "cuttings". *Saturday morning project*

Inspired by one of Chrissy's Fay projects, I got out the Mickey waffler today and tried banana/pecan waffles. Next ~ is chocolate chip/berry waffles!

Yes, we already had a celebration with ice cream cake.....but how can you turn the big 4-0 and not have cake on your actual birthday! It's yummy devil's food cheesecake!
Smiles all around today! And a huge sigh of relief.....it's back to school! 2nd grade and Kindergarten here we come! Hard to believe.

We got to celebrate Deric's 40th with family and friends at the Ocean Grande cabana and beach club where his parents live.........it was a fun day! His real Birthday is the kids first day back to school this year.......8/18!
